If you are thinking of taking your life, STOP right now!  Don't do it!  Don't give in to the lies and tricks of the devil who wants to destroy you.  God loves you and He wants to help you by intervening in your life.  The very fact that you are reading this web page is God's way of reaching out to help you by showing you that it's not hopeless!

If you feel worthless or that you are a failure, then you need to see what God says you can be and do in His name when you turn to Him.   Ephesians 2:10  says, "For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."  When we surrender our lives to the Lord Jesus Christ, God begins a work in us and He will continue doing so, as long as we let Him!  In Christ, you are a new person and you need to see yourself "in Christ."

If you are depressed, then follow these instructions and you will see God working to help deliver you and help you through whatever you are dealing with.  Look up the scriptures for each step as you read them and choose to do what it says:

  1.  Reaffirm your faith in God's promises (Mark 11:22)
  2.  Replace anger with forgiveness and love (Colossians  3:8)
  3.  Request God's help in prayer (Philippians 4:6)
  4.  Rejoice in the Lord & choose to be happy (Philippians 4:4)
  5.  Rest in God's presence & the comfort of the Holy Spirit (2Corinthians 1:3)
  6.  Repent of anything you have done that grieved the Spirit (Ephesians 4:30)
  7.  Renew your mind on God's Word (Romans 12:1-2)
  8.  Return thanks unto the Lord with praise & worship (Psalm 5:11)
  9.  Rebuke the enemy & overcome the devil in Jesus' name (James 4:7)
10.  Receive prayer & ministry from spiritual elders & other believers (James 4:14)
11.  Remain in fellowship with other joy-filled believers (1John 1:7)
12.  Reach out in ministry to others & meet their needs & serve (Galatians 5:13)
13.  Resist negative feelings & persevere (Ephesians 6:18)
14.  Recognize the source of your depression & face it  (John 8:32)
